Dicky Moby sunglasses offer a contemporary take on sustainable materials. With a mission to reduce plastic pollution, Dicky Moby sunglasses utilise reused plastic without creating more waste in the process. The idea came when two friends were confronted with huge amounts of plastic waste on a surf trip back in 2012. After exploring options with suppliers and plastic companies, the two finalised their design with market leading acetate producers, Italian company Mazzucchelli and optical market leaders, Zeiss lenses. Together with Mazzucchelli, Dick Moby were able to produce pristine bio-degradable acetate. With the manufacturers set and the brand growing in success, founders Bettink and Holland named their sunglasses line after one of their favourite coming of age films, Dazed and Confused. Dick Moby sunglasses’ motto of “quality is key, sustainability is king” is always at the heart of their brand. Dick Moby sunglasses come with a microfibre cleaning cloth made from approximately 7 used plastic bottles, and a recycled leather hard case that is both sustainable yet sturdy.
